A PATH OF QUALITY

OUR MISSION TO PROTECT TRADITION

SUSTAINABILITY  AND HEALTH

We care about the consumer and sustainability.

In 2012, we created the first Sardinian cereal business network called the Durum Wheat Production Chain grown and processed in Sardinia, which offers products for a balanced diet, through a careful choice of raw materials.

Today, we have started a great sustainability project, which sees our main ingredient as protagonist: wheat.

We have indeed chosen to use for our products  only 100% wheat grown and processed in Sardinia.

THE CULTIVATION AREAS

We have chosen the ideal production areas for cultivation:  the Marmilla e  the area of Cabras and Sinis .

Here we select  the best varieties for cereal production  ancient autochthonous: Trigu giganti or Khorasan, Trigu biancu, Trigu arrubiu, Trigu moro, Trigu cossu, Trigu murru, Senatore Cappelli.

We follow the supply chain of our wheat every day, measuring each phase that leads to the production of typical products that will become the products bearing the "Sardo Sole" brand in the final phase.

THE MILL

The Villamar stone mill brings together the good of tradition and the advantages of modernity.

The stone used is a monolithic natural stone, the slow grinding with a few turns allows not to heat the products too much, preserving: aromas, flavors, vitamins and trace elements that are lost with heating (for example our grinder makes less than 100 revolutions / minute).

PRODUCTS AND WELLNESS

The final result of the Supply Chain are the various products under the Sardo Sole brand: Pasta and Bread ; Flour and Semolina ; Special preparations and Legumes and Cereals , all of which have a high protein value and stand out both in traditional cuisine and in the more innovative cuisine of established chèf for taste and flavor.

We are therefore talking about products well known by the older generations but much appreciated by young people who find excellent food tolerability and lightness, so much so that they are often included in the controlled diets of personal trainers and nutritionists.
